Welcome to MIGRATE

If you are either working on gas hydrates or interested and want to learn more about it, join our group of enthusiastic scientists and professionals. You can do this by becoming a participant in one of our working groups. Members of the four WGs meet regularly twice a year to address specific scientific topics of MIGRATE. You can also become a member of our management committee to represent your country in MIGRATE if your country is not yet part of the MIGRATE consortium. To join MIGRATE, please send an e-mail to the Chair Klaus Wallmann or the administrative project manager Astrid Ulbrich  with a short statement of interest along with a brief summary of your scientific and professional background.

MIGRATE members are eligible to apply for Short Term Scientific Missions. These STSMs support visits to institutes and laboratories taking part in MIGRATE to: i) foster collaborations, ii) learn innovative techniques, iii) acquire new datasets, and iv) use specific methods/instruments which are not available in the home institute/laboratory. The STSM are particularly intended for young scientists. Contact our STSM coordinator Judith Schicks  to learn more about the application procedure.

Young scientists (Master and PhD students, young postdocs and professionals) working on gas hydrate R & D are especially invited to join MIGRATE. Please contact Georgia Sismani  our coordinator for Early Career Investigators (ECI) to learn more about the opportunities for young scientists in MIGRATE (STSMs, travel grants to take part in working group meetings, networking, etc.).
